Music has recently been my biggest solace in this crazy time in which we survive. I've been experimenting with modular synthesis in the form of software simulations of modular racks, and learning starting with the Complex-1 as the catalyst, and coming to have a basic understanding of modular concepts, and becoming more comfortable with modular and trying VCV Rack.
The following two playlists outline this progression. The first, The Dark Album is a playlist of songs made primarily in Reason, often with Complex-1 voices as the highlight.
The second playlist is a divergence for me. Beginning with more ambient sounds, and definitely more modular synthesis, the tracks in this second playlist bring these elements together in a chill, ambient soundscape playlist.
